A coffee morning bringing the community together
A special community coffee morning is taking place in Barnet this February, offering local people a welcoming space to meet, chat and enjoy a relaxed start to the day.
Taking place on Friday 27 February, from 10am – 12 noon in The Lounge at Christ Church Barnet, Christ Church Lane, St Albans Road, the event is open to anyone who would enjoy good company and a friendly atmosphere. Guests can enjoy tea, coffee and cakes, along with relaxed conversation and the chance to meet others from the local area
The coffee morning has been organised by the GoodOaks Homecare Barnet and Enfield branch as part of a wider commitment to tackling loneliness and supporting wellbeing in the community. Loneliness can affect people of all ages, particularly older residents, and simple social gatherings can make a real difference.
There will also be a raffle with prizes, and any funds raised on the day will be donated to Dementia UK, helping to support families affected by dementia.
GoodOaks Homecare provides visiting and live-in homecare services across Barnet and Enfield, supporting people to remain independent and connected in their own homes.
