The first Mortal Kombat film debuted during the height of the pandemic in 2021, and with so few new films being released at the time, it found a large audience who really enjoyed the game adaptation.
Now Mortal Kombat II arrives, with added fan-favourite Johnny Cage (Karl Urban), who joins his comrades to battle for the very survival of Earthrealm from the evil forces of Shao Kahn (Martyn Ford). Screen legend Hiroyuki Sanada returns as Scorpion as does Jessica McNamee as Sonya Blade along with many others. This won’t change the world, but it will deliver a great piece of summer blockbuster action, with great fights and awesome effects.
