🏡 ENFIELD COUNCIL UPDATE

💼 Building brighter futures in Enfield

Enfield Council is continuing its focus on helping residents into work, supporting local businesses, and creating opportunities for young people.

Programmes like Trailblazers and Connect to Work are offering tailored support for those facing barriers to employment, including people with health conditions, parents needing childcare support, and those looking to start their own business.

For budding entrepreneurs, the Enfield Business & IP Centre provides expert advice, workshops and resources to help turn ideas into reality.

🏗️ New homes at Meridian Water

A major milestone has been reached at Meridian Water, with the completion of 301 new homes in the first fully finished neighbourhood.

This development forms part of a wider regeneration project set to transform the area, bringing new housing, infrastructure and opportunities to Edmonton.

⚖️ Enforcement action in Palmers Green

A Palmers Green restaurant has had its licence revoked following repeated breaches, including antisocial behaviour and illegal working.

The action forms part of ongoing work by the council and partner agencies to ensure businesses operate safely and responsibly.

🏡 More affordable homes on the way

Plans to redevelop the Joyce and Snells estate are moving forward, with over 2,000 homes set to be delivered overall.

Construction of the first 270 affordable homes is expected to begin soon, alongside improved green spaces and community facilities.

📊 Support for residents and businesses

Enfield continues to offer a wide range of support, including recruitment events, free careers advice and training opportunities, financial support services, and affordable workspace programmes.

Thousands of residents are already benefiting from these initiatives each year.

🔧 Repair, reuse and community support

Residents will soon be able to take advantage of free Repair Cafés, where volunteers help fix broken household items—from electronics to textiles.

Its a great way to reduce waste, save money, and bring the community together.

💉 Health reminder for local families

With measles cases rising across North London, residents are being encouraged to check their vaccination status.

The MMR vaccine is free via the NHS and remains the best protection for individuals and the wider community.

🙌 Volunteer opportunity: ENLab

Residents aged 18+ can get involved with ENLab, a project celebrating Enfields heritage.

Volunteers can support school workshops, events and family activities—no experience needed, and full training is provided.
