Welcome to Platform One Nursery

We are proud to have been part of the local community since opening our doors in May 2001. Over the years, we’ve had the privilege of nurturing children from their very first steps through to the exciting moment they head off to reception. Each September, when our children move on to local schools, we consistently receive wonderful feedback from teachers about how well-prepared, confident, and enthusiastic they are — something that always makes us incredibly proud.

Platform One Nursery is a privately owned setting that offers care for children from three months to rising five years. We are a small, friendly nursery with capacity for just 32 children each day, ensuring a warm and personal environment where every child feels secure and valued. We provide places for eight babies and twenty-four toddlers and preschoolers aged two to rising five.

Our dedicated and long-standing team is at the heart of what makes Platform One so special. Laura has been with us for 22 years, Sharon for 20 years, and Fru for 16 years. Their experience, consistency, and genuine passion for childcare mean your child will always be in caring, familiar hands.

Parents often tell us how much their children enjoy their time here. One family shared: “Both my boys attended Platform One. They have such wonderful memories and were in excellent care. The whole team were fantastic and I am so grateful for everything they did. Thank you 💛
